I am not trying to argue with you, but I have been constantly visiting mitbbs/tianya for almost 2 years already (partially due to the fact that lots of my mainland Chinese friends in grad sch talk about them), and I did also read the two threads. Honestly, the replies on those threads are still negative, although with less aggression. In particular, she was still coined as a traitor by many. And I guess you don’t call someone a traitor while you truly feel sorry for him/her.

While I was reading the forums, I often found it very ironic. Have you ever wonder why a lot of the mainland fellows hate the Dalai Lama so much, and denounce him as a “splitist” while on the other hand, he repeatedly claim that he is against independence, and he just wants more freedom for his fellow Tibetans? Similarly, back to the 80s, I lived in China for couple years. And there were lots of Japanese dramas and animations being broadcasted on the national channels. Sino-Japan relation was truly harmonious. But then, especially after the Tiananmen Square Massacre, you can see that those programs were gradually replaced by many of the anti-Japan dramas. And I was completely shocked when I visit China again on 2005 that almost all the channels are showing some kind of anti-Japan dramas/programs. Why? You must be smart enough to understand what I am trying to say here.

Dr. Fei is correct that I’m not a frequent visitor to this blog. I suspect that you are also not very familiar with MITBBS. If you read the ChinaNews board on the same day of the San Francisco torch rally (as well as the Duke events), those of us most excited by the events were posting the most frequently. We also had very few details about Wang Qianyuan, except that she “helped” the Tibetan independence protesters.

I mean, of cause, they are just stating these on the forum, by no mean they will do it. But again, it is verbal violence and it definite show that your statement is flawed.

I found this very interesting, I have been constanting checking forums like mitbbs.com, around the time of the Duke girl incident, it was almost one sided in the forum that people were criticizing the girl, and described her as a traitor who are willing to do anything just to obtain a US green card. The people posting there are supposed to be the elites of China, plus at the same time, they recevied western education. If they had this kind thought, I cant imagine what were those majority thinking back in Mainland. And you said “少数积极分子攻击了王千源及家人，很多理性爱国者也伤心。”? Please dont pretend that you didt know whats going on.
